- Our client jointly works with the finance industry and the government, taking initiative to promote Guernsey's financial services sector internationally is seeking to recruit an Events Executive.
This is an entry level role which would suit an A level school/college leaver or someone returning to work. The Company encourages external training/courses/seminars relevant to the role and after a qualifying period.
Overall purpose of the role:
Assist in the production of events and 3rd party conferences.
Key responsibilities will include;
•Liaise with event organisers re venue logistics
•Monitor, maintain and update registration systems and processes
•Create and maintain teamwork projects
•Liaise with industry representatives
•Attend industry meetings where required
•Liaise with external suppliers as required
•Attend the event on the day when required
•Maintain and update event budgets regularly
•Coordinate the supply of relevant marketing materials and information to event organisers/sponsors (company profile, logos, speaker details, etc.)
•Set up and execute digital events via their webinar platform and maintain a relationship with the platform provider and relationship team
•Responsible for the planning and execution of 3rd party conferences
•Communicating with stakeholders regarding industry representation
•Coordinate the supply of relevant marketing materials and information to event organisers
•Co-ordination of the design, packing and freight of the GF stand presence
•External marketing communications
•Ad hoc projects as appropriate and briefed in by the Events Manager,
The successful candidate will be:
•A hard-working ethos, with a hunger to learn and develop.
•Good timekeeping and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
•Ability to work self-sufficiently and as part of a team, to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•Experience of working in an office environment preferable, but not essential.
•Be available to travel on behalf of the company as required.
