Description
Our client is a leading provider of corporate, Trust and Fund services to the financial services sector worldwide seeking to recruit a Manager – Funds.

Overall purpose of the role:

The Manager will have responsibility for the day-to-day administration of administered fund structures comprising of a mixture of Funds of Funds, Equity, Hedge, and Private Equity Funds.

Key responsibilities will include:

•Deputising for certain duties in the absence of the Director of Fund Services
•Complete responsibility for the delivery of shareholder services, valuations preparation and financial reporting to all clients
•Responsible for 4 direct reports and their performance development including the conduct of their appraisals.
•Managing professional training and CPD courses for all direct reports
•Attending and contribution to the TFSG Compliance Committee meetings
•‘A’ signatory on client money accounts and thus the responsibility for reviewing and approving payments
•Reviewing weekly/monthly/quarterly NAVs
•Ensuring all regulatory deadlines and requirements are met by working closely with the company secretary and compliance team
•Review of semi-annual and annual financial statements
•Working closely with the New Business Development Manager to ensure seamless on-boarding
•Ownership of on-boarding new clients to the accounting and shareholder software packages
•Attending meetings with existing and prospective new clients in a technical support capacity
•The Manager will receive support from the Director of the Funds team where there is a potentially contentious matter to be discussed with clients such as dispute, disagreement, fee negotiation, errors made by the team or losses incurred

The successful candidate will have:

•Good knowledge of fund structures, valuation preparation, share dealing and registration
•Good knowledge of investments in general
•Professional management of client relationships
•Team management and supervisory skills
•The candidate will be a qualified Accountant
•Proven track record in a previous management role
•No specific investment qualifications are necessary
•Technical competency with understanding of more complex instruments and pricing bases
•Good communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written
