- Our client is the regulatory body for the finance sector in the Bailiwick of Guernsey seeking to recruit an Assistant Director - Banking and Insurance Division, Guernsey.
Overall purpose of the role:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading the supervision of a portfolio of firms and will be technically strong with a grasp of strategic issues, strong interpersonal skills and good judgement.
Key responsibilities will include;
•Supervising licensees in accordance with the PRISM framework, to include identification of material risks and development of Risk Mitigation Programmes.
•Planning and co-ordinating thematics, internal sector reviews or full risk assessments and on-site visits to licensees.
•Assisting with the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard. Formulating plans for achieving business objectives over a performance period, anticipating potential problems and taking pre-emptive action
•Demonstrating flexibility in managing changing priorities on a daily basis, reviewing and assessing the work of divisional staff, monitoring workloads of the Division and ensuring a high quality and quantity of work is produced by the Division.
The successful candidate will have:
•Relevant previous experience of working in a similar role.
