Description
Our client specialises in offering life-insurance-based wealth management and employee benefit solutions to a global audience is seeking to recruit an Operational Governance and Control Manager.

Overall purpose of the role:

A varied role, ensuring effective controls are implemented across the Operations and Customer Services functions and organisation, including their branches and subsidiaries. Activities include management of outsourcing governance, response to audit activities, CRS/FATCA reporting coordination, Identity and Access Management and Business Continuity Management. Also assisting in fraud prevention and assurance.

Key responsibilities will include;

•Implement and embed Operational Governance controls
•Collaborate effectively with stakeholders in their international locations to ensure adherence to regulations (Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland)
•Act as a Risk Champion for the Operations and Customer Services functions, identifying and managing risks
•Oversee and support outsourcing governance, providing relevant Board reporting and carrying out oversight of outsourced activities
•Ensure that appropriate operational controls are in place to support the company’s adherence to the Insurance Business Rules and Guidance, 2021, with an appropriate focus on conduct of business and customer outcome
•Oversee and implement CRS and FATCA reporting and submissions
•Act as the Business Continuity Officer and drive Business Resilience
•Manage Identity and Access Management controls across the company
•Establish and maintain relevant standards and guidelines – e.g. Outsourcing, BCM, Access Management, Tax Reporting
•Ensure effective implementation of End User Computing controls where relevant
•Support provision of training to all members of staff on relevant areas of governance
•Provide Board and Executive Committee reporting
•Assist in handling of fraud cases or operational control breaches, supporting relevant functional heads in implementing preventative controls
•Undertake ad-hoc governance projects or initiatives as determined by the Operations and Customer Service Executive

The successful candidate will have:

•Expertise in the fields of accounting, law, investments, IT, compliance or corporate governance would be an advantage
•Strong English language skills with confidence in collaborating with people at all levels
•Strong documentation skills and ability to assimilate and convey knowledge in a rapidly changing environment
•Strong proficiency in MS Office applications with well-established capabilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
