- Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of equipment for the repair and hot vulcanization of damage in all tyres and conveyor belts is seeking to recruit a Deputy Dispatch Supervisor. The successful candidate will report to the Factory Manager. This is a full-time role however flexible working considered and a 4 day week is also an option.
Overall purpose of the role:
•To provide support and cover in the Packing & Dispatch section
•To pack within laid down parameters the items manufactured on site
•To dispatch packed items in fulfilment of customer orders and under the direction of the Senior Factory Dispatch Supervisor
Key responsibilities will include;
•Pick items for customer orders as set out in Production Sheets
•Visually check for defects and report to Supervisor
•Ensure customer orders are packed and labelled in line with business and logistic requirements and dispatched to meet the customer deadlines
•Keep aware of customer orders and identify any low or out of stock items to Factory Manager and/or Supervisor
•Carry out raw and finished product stock reconciliation counts, accurately record and update records as directed by the Factory Manager and/or Supervisor
The successful candidate will have:
•Good IT skills with demonstrable experience of Microsoft suite of programmes, in particular, Excel, Word and Outlook
•Commitment to good quality standards.
•Self-motivated with a demonstrable desire to get the job done right and right first time
•Proven ability to use own initiative using sound judgement
•Good communication skills, both written verbal
•Physically capable, some products are heavy and require moving and manipulating for packing and dispatch
•A good team player with experience of team working
Desirable Criteria
•Counter balance fork lift licence
