Our candidate is a rapidly emerging finance company seeking to recruit an Associate Director, Compliance, Guernsey.

Overall purpose of the role:

The role is an integral part of the Compliance team within the Channel Islands, the focus of which is to support the regulatory, compliance and risk management functions of company’s International Administration Division, specifically the Fund Administration side of the business.

Working under the direction of the Guernsey Compliance Director as well as working closely with other Group compliance staff, administration teams and external clients and system consultants as required; along with other members of the Division to assist the Board and business teams to meet the firm’s objectives.

Key responsibilities will include;

•All aspects of maintaining the firm’s compliance framework, incorporating the undertaking of monitoring tasks which include certain testing actions within the Compliance Monitoring Programme, reporting findings and MI to the Compliance Director and the Boards, including via the preparation of Compliance and AML reports.
•Preparing regulatory returns, to be submitted by the relevant deadlines e.g. the GFSC’s Annual Financial Crime Return.
•Maintaining Compliance and AML registers.
•Reviewing and preparing Business Risk Assessments (BRA) at a minimum annually, undertaking related tasks such as producing reports for BRA content.
•Assist in the planning and undertake the monitoring of periodic statutory reviews of all clients / investors.

The successful candidate will have:

•Relevant previous experience of working in a similar role.
•ICA qualifications (e.g. KYC, AML/CFT governance, risk, compliance certifications).
•Experience and knowledge of the regulatory requirements stipulated within the Handbook on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing, along with related guidance and legislation.
