- Our client specialises in offering life-insurance-based wealth management and employee benefit solutions to a global audience is seeking to recruit an Application Support Analyst.
Overall purpose of the role:
The job involves developing and maintaining a variety of in-house reporting/data extract solutions together with supporting the use and development of the policy administration system used by the company.
Key responsibilities will include;
Involvement in all aspects of the application software lifecycle, as follows:
•Analysing business requirements and translating them into deliverables
•Develop reports/data extracts to service change requests received from the business.
•Manage report development and maintenance in line with business and project requirements and timelines.
•Assess the data implication of system changes and monitor/investigate/escalate any data integrity issues.
•Involvement in non-report based system deliveries at each stage of the development lifecycle
•Triage of incoming incidents, their resolution and/or escalation as required.
The successful candidate will have:
•At least 2 years’ experience of report development in a professional environment
•At least 2 years experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL preferred)
•Delivering solutions via Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
•Familiar with Project Management methodologies
•Experience of structured testing
•Detail oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Desirable:
•Experience with Crystal Reports and/or Power BI
•Good capability in supporting business applications
•Management information
•Financial / Insurance Sector experience
