- Our client is a leading law firm seeking to recruit a Business Analyst, Guernsey or Jersey. This role is open for candidates who are either based in Guernsey or Jersey.
Overall purpose of the role:
Work collaboratively on a broad range of initiatives, improving operational systems, business processes and ensuring successful delivery and integration of solutions into the firm to meet international strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities will include;
•Act as trusted advisor and liaison between users of systems and processes and the technical teams and senior management
•Understand and represent the needs of the business and act as 'translator' where necessary to convey how technology or changes to business processes can support the firm's needs
•Work with practice groups and business services, identifying areas of improvement and undertake requirements analysis to systems, reporting and business processes seeing them through to testing and implementation
•Act as a central point of control for business analysis activities, including working with third-party suppliers, technical teams and internal stakeholders as part of a project team
The successful candidate will have:
•Experience of analysis techniques, application selection and the project lifecycle.
•Working experience of project and analysis techniques and supporting tools for requirement definition and documentation
•Experience in workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
•Experience in application selection and working with technical teams to be able to configure system taking into account business processes
•Must be able to demonstrate initiative, proactivity, with a positive outlook and well-organised with good personal management skills with a proven record of taking ownership of tasks and responsibility for ensuring completion
•Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills with proven strength in understanding complex business processes and problems (within a legal or financial services environment) and translation of these into technical and functional requirements
